If you’re at the start of your teaching career, then your professional body, The Chartered College of Teaching has made a wealth of information available on their Early Career Hub

If you’re at student teacher enrolled on a teacher training course or programme, it’s free to join. As an NQT it will cost you £1.88 per month. You’ll get access to articles, interactive content and invitations to exclusive webinars and events. All content is aligned to the Early Career Framework and Teachers’ Standards, to give you the confidence and support you need. We’d highly recommend Impact, the termly journal available as a paper copy or online The Autumn Issue 10 is currently available, and they have recently announced that a special extra issue will be sent to all schools for free.

If you’ve been teaching for more than three years, you may have heard of CTeach – a 15-month teacher certification programme. In 2019, Beacon Partnership was selected by the Chartered College of Teaching to support the delivery of the CTeach Programme in East and West Sussex, Kent and Brighton and Hove. This year’s programme is already in progress but you find out more and register your interest for the future on the Beacon Partnership site.

More recently, the Chartered College have launched their ‘Excellence in School Leadership 12-month programme, starting in January 2021. This course is designed to give school leaders the opportunity to explore key areas of leadership and practice, within the context of their own school.  Successful completion of the programme leads to Chartered Teacher (Leadership) status.
